Friendship Celebration Day

Tuesday morning we woke up earlier than we ever have before for breakfast at Crystal Palace. It was a character breakfast with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. It was really fun and after our two and a half hour breakfast we got to spend some time at Magic Kingdom in the morning which we rarely get to do together.

This little princess was sitting next to us at breakfast dressed as Rapunzel. We saw her later in the day dressed as Cinderella and had to get a picture with her. Her parents were super excited but she was not so sure about meeting new people.

My favorite princess, Tiana!

When Mickey is greeting guests at his area towards the front of the park he talks and does magic tricks! It is pretty funny. He did a card trick for us and talked to us for a little bit. It is a little creepy though. Veronica is still warming up to the idea.

Graduation

Another recent celebration we had was "graduating" from the college program. There was a picnic at the apartments and we got to pick up our hat and our Mousters degree. My roommates and I decided to get our names and DCP 2014 embroider on them and take some pictures in front of the castle.

In the Courtyard of Good and Evil

Last week was the semi-annual college program dance. The theme was "In the Courtyard of Good and Evil." I was scheduled to work until 10pm that night and wasn't too sure about going, but my roommates wanted to check it out so I met them there after work. We had so much fun. I am really glad I went. It was sort of like prom but with Disney characters.

We got to meet the Disney Ambassadors. They represent the Disney company and cast members to the public and sometimes are on TV or the news speaking for the company.

My work friend, Rodolfo. We started on the same day and had almost all of our training together.

Jafar was my date

Bucket List

Over the last month I haven't done too many new things, but I have still been having just as much fun.

Here is a preview of what remains on my list of things to do before my time in Florida is over. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
  • go to Disneyland in California
  • play golf at one of the Disney courses
  • see all the shows in the parks like Beauty & the Beast, Finding Nemo, Lion King....
  • eat at Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's, and Germany
  • people watch on Main Street in Magic Kingdom
  • watch the 3 o'clock parade
  • go to another Orlando Magic game
  • go to an Atlanta Braves spring training baseball game at Wide World of Sports
  • visit the resorts decorated for Christmas

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Last night my roommates and I went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. This party is similar to the Not So Scary Halloween party that we went to in September. I loved the Halloween party so I had high expectations for the Christmas party. We did pretty much all the special events. There was even free hot chocolate and cookies! The castle looks so pretty with the Christmas lights on it! Here are the pictures I took! Allison and Shelby also took a ton of good pictures so I will add those when they upload them.

It's officially Christmas time in the "world"!

On Wednesday night I got to go to the Hollywood Studios cast preview of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. I got off work at 9 right when it started and met up with my roommates. It was so much fun! I had never seen the lights before but it is one of my new favorite things at Disney! If you are ever around Disney in November or December it would definitely be worth a special trip to see it! These pictures don't do it justice.

Some of my awesome coworkers!

My Magic Band!

Earlier in October Disney announced that cast members will finally be able to link their Maingate pass to a magic band! The Maingate pass is sort of like an annual pass but it is only for cast members to get into the parks. My magic band arrived earlier this week and after being inspired by a guest's band last week, I decided to decorate mine! Here are the finished results. I used glitter glue, a black paint pen, glitter duct tape, and scrap booking rhinestones.Using the glitter duct tape was a great idea because it was the perfect width so I didn't have to cut it too much. Its not perfect but I like how it turned out. And I have some ideas for my Christmas one that I get when my family visits in December! Disney has some magic band accessories that they sell to make your band more "unique" but there aren't a ton of options yet. Hopefully that will change in the future!
